The Pro Moment – Internships, Your Doorway to “The Industry.” Getting Started on Networking and Building Your Board of Advisers – 8.27.15

Today we talked about the importance of internships and how to get your first one. Some ideas:

4. Get as many internships as you can, so that you can figure out what you want to do for a living.

3. Take college classes so that you’re eligible for an internship.

2. Be intentional and humble. If you want to work in the industry, be willing to lower yourself to do so!

1. Build up a group of friends that you trust. Those are the people you’ll work with when opportunities come your way.

Getting an internship is only one way to get a job at a studio. There are plenty of others as well, so if you missed that boat, don’t freak out!

Thank you for all the questions today!  Tweet at me (@TopherHarless) if you have more ways to get a studio job/ internship or you have ideas for tomorrow’s episode!
